What sets Le Bristol Paris apart
The garden
The hotel is built around a French garden of more than a thousand square metres, with a lawn, a fountain and magnolias. The restaurant opens onto it, and in summer the tables move outside.
The rooftop pool
A swimming pool on the top floor, panelled in teak like the deck of a yacht, with windows over the roofs of Paris to Sacré-Cœur.
The restaurants
Epicure, the formal restaurant, in a room on the garden, and 114 Faubourg, a brasserie on two levels opened in 2009.
The street
The rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré is the street of the art galleries, the antique dealers and the couture houses, and of the presidential palace. The Champs-Élysées is a short walk away.

The last independent palace
Hippolyte Jammet bought the site in 1923 and opened Le Bristol in April 1925, naming it after an English earl famous as a traveller with exacting tastes. It was built to be quieter and more private than its rivals, and has stayed that way.
In June 1940 it became the home of the American embassy in Paris, which spared it from being requisitioned. It has belonged since 1978 to the Oetker family, who own a small group of hotels, and is often described as the only great Paris hotel not part of a chain.
A renovation lasting six years was finished in 2016. The hotel holds the Palace distinction, and appeared as itself in the film Midnight in Paris.
